I have always been a "crafty" person ever since I started sewing in high school. I made quite a few of my own clothes and remade some that I considered out of style. When you are a teen, you must always be stylish.
As I grew older and married I branched out. I hand and machine quilted baby blankets for extra spending money. I soon found that if I made wall placques to match the quilt, I could sell even more. I then moved my items to gift shops that were on consignment.
I then tried my hand at painting and now paper piecing and/or scrapbooking. I feel that I am finally settled with a craft that I really enjoy and gives so many others joy too. I do mostly custom scrapbook pages, books of many kinds, invitations, cards and really anything I can get scrap material on. Lately I have been scrapping acrylic books, paper bag albums. post-albums, and custom designed subject albums.
I have 2 daughters that have blessed me with 8 grandchildren. 4 boys and 4 girls. They range anywhere in age from 1 year to 16 years. I feel, of course, I am too young to be a grandma, but I am glad I am so I can do everything they want to do.
This past spring I had my first Scrapbooking/Tea Party with my grandaughters. We had a blast. I think that was the most fun I have had in a long time. We scrapped, we ate, scrapped some more and played with our American Girl dolls. We will have another next spring.
I married my best friend, Bill, and enjoy his company more each day. I keep myself busy with weekly scraps in my studio and a big scrap with 8 of us every 4 to 6 months. We scrap from Friday to Sunday. What fun!
